New real estate joint venture, Landmark Harcourts commenced operations last month, with the appearance of the joint logo on real estate advertisements across the country signifying a new phase in the marketing of rural and regional real estate in Australia.
The Landmark Harcourts partners have appointed experienced real estate identity, Darren Cole as Chief Executive Officer to lead both the initial integration of the businesses and to drive an aggressive growth strategy over the short to medium term.
“The opportunity to lead and grow the Landmark Harcourts brand is both exciting and challenging,” Mr Cole said.
“The combination of the Landmark real estate team, who collectively command strong market knowledge, local property expertise and deep relationships in the rural markets, and Harcourts International, whose capability to provide market leading technology, training, marketing leverage and back-end real estate systems, present the genuine prospect of building Australia's biggest and best rural and regional real estate business.
“We’ll be aiming to strongly support existing rural and regional activities within the group and also expand our operations through the recruitment of new franchises in selected locations across Australia, actively targeting growth in specific regional residential markets over the next 12 months.
“Having brought together two businesses for this joint venture, each with well over 100 years of experience in the real estate sector, has created a real estate platform like no other, so I’m very confident in the outlook for Landmark Harcourts and look forward to working with both staff and clients,” Mr Cole said.
Note: Landmark Harcourts is now operating as a standalone business and does not involve the Harcourts metropolitan or commercial businesses, nor any other aspects of Landmark’s rural services business.
